Alright, now we’ve established a few key factors for the 2024 SEC season, which in turn will matter for the 2024 Playoffs. First, the league is stacked with highly experienced quarterbacks and virtually all of them are benefitting from their teams’ use of the transfer portal to provide them with good weapons at wide receiver.
Secondly, modern pass defense all comes down to the number three. You need three guys who can carry a vertical 1-on-1 in your secondary, or to be able to rush the passer with just three guys, or to be able to force the quarterback to hold the ball for more than three seconds.
