For fans of the Big 12, this season is looking pretty wild already. The despised “traitors” Oklahoma and Texas both opened conference play with Ls in games they were favored in. Baylor pulled out a nice win in Ames to maintain their place and the Kansas Jayhawks are currently sitting at 4-0 and atop the conference standings behind terrific play from quarterback Jalon Daniels. There will be a lot of intrigue in that league this season.

Elsewhere, Bryan Harsin staved off the firing when Missouri’s running back accidentally fumbled the ball into the end zone on what should have been the game-winning play in overtime. Auburn wins! I doubt whoever is running their coaching search through back channels was told to back off though.

Clemson avoided a disastrous loss to Wake Forest which would have put them on “last notice” in terms of making the playoffs. The Demon Deacons have a really fun offense we’ll get into later in this column.

We’ll also revisit some of my thoughts on the Week 4 Vegas point spreads, which were predictably a combination of me being super wrong and super right. Let’s dive in.
