The Week 2 slate of college football games included a number of important contests and at least seemingly important outcomes.

Too many almost. I imagine anyone trying to get a good grip on the overall scene in college football has their head swimming. In just one weekend we got two scandals, the first Alabama home loss in 21 contests and first in a non-conference game since 2007 (year one for Nick Saban), another big Colorado win, and a few “I don’t like how this looks and feels” performances by programs with high goals.

Let’s start with the scandals and move on to the actual football.
