What about Boise State?
Now that the G5 gets a champion into the playoff race, is there still anything left of the old Boise State dynasty to try and make a run at a title?

Boise, ID has been a remarkable, remote factory for football players and coaches this century. There were moments in the last few years where you had to question if everything had petered out and there was still anything left in the Petersen coaching orchard. They replaced him with defensive coordinator Spencer Danielson, an even younger Boise product, and went 3-1 down the stretch with a loss to UCLA in the bowl game. Boise then named Danielson head coach, he brought back old school, pro-style offensive coach Dirk Koetter, and here we are. Back to one more classic type of Boise State team with their traditional formula lined up for a shot at the playoffs. Their challenge? They have to win the Mountain West for the first time in a few years and rank higher in the selection committee’s rankings than Liberty.
