Week 2: What does it mean?

Notre Dame lost, Oregon nearly lost, the defending champions were toppled, what does it mean for the 2024 season of college football?

Week 2 proved to be a little more interesting than the slate suggested it would be. This is customary in college football.

“Life is like that, sometimes at the height of our revelries, when our joy is at its zenith, when all is most right with the world…the most unthinkable disasters descend upon us.”

This week it was Notre Dame, fresh off their exultant win at College Station over the Aggies and fixed in the top 5 of the AP poll, going down against Northern Illinois.

We also had another near disaster for Oregon against the potato people, Oklahoma held under 20 points in a narrow win over the Houston Cougars, a rare Iowa State rivalry game victory, and Texas chasing Michigan fans out of the Big House like Jesus cleansing the temple.

What does it all mean?
