War game propaganda in the Middle West

Michigan is waging a war of propaganda against the rest of the Big 10 in order to save their chances at another Big 10 title and playoff berth.

One of the many ways that American football serves as its’ favorite war game is the way it envelopes its competing factions in propaganda wars.

Let us turn once again to the Michigan sign-stealing scandal, where the Wolverines have been firing back with all they have. It all mirrors the daily propaganda wars going back and forth between Israel and Hamas, except there are no lives at stake. Just postseason chances and reputation for clean play in a game played by college men.

For some people that’s almost as serious as the conflict in the Middle East and it’s certainly occupying a comparable amount of mental space in parts of the Middle West of America. Here’s the current state of the propaganda war as we move toward the big game between Michigan and Ohio State.
