The Week 3 watch
College football doesn't have any marquee games this week but there are a few fun trends worth observing.
What a miserable slate we’re getting in Week 3 of college football. It’s pretty typical, nobody wants to play a real team before the conference schedule begins and some teams want to heal up from their Week 2 bouts.
Consequently this is often when things get nuts as teams overlook weaker opponents, or teams we wrote off for whatever reason prove to be much more competent than we think. For our purposes though, there’s liable to be a lot more to discuss afterwards than to anticipate beforehand.
No worries, though. There have been a number of trends within college football worth a look and a few things to watch for this Saturday. We also have a decently high stakes battle between Tennessee and Florida in the Swamp which could eliminate the loser from contention in the SEC East.
