The playoffs are coming and the coaching carousel is in motion
Michigan may have another problem besides the Jim Harbaugh suspension and lots of schools are starting to make moves for the offseason.
We’ll begin today with the most recent playoff rankings released by the selection committee.
Georgia (10-0)
Ohio State (10-0)
Michigan (10-0)
Florida State (10-0)
Washington (10-0)
Oregon (9-1)
Texas (9-1)
Alabama (9-1)
Missouri (8-2)
Louisville (9-1)
As always it’s helpful to note that Michigan and Ohio State will play each other, Georgia and Alabama will likely play each other, and Washington and Oregon may play each other once more as well. So there’s a lot to still shake out.
None of these teams are totally overpowering in appearance to my eyes as of yet. Many of them have some profound strengths but yet aren’t exactly intimidating in the way of a 2019 LSU or even a 2019 Ohio State. One of the interesting challenges of playoff prep will be working out whether a team has a particular, dominant attribute that will supersede the strengths of any other team.
