I haven’t touched much on the proceedings in the Big 10 in a while so today seemed like a good time to take stock of a few developments of note north of the Mason-Dixon Line.
The top of the standings is currently commanded by Indiana and Michigan, interestingly enough. Ohio State, Oregon, and Penn State are all playing some notable football as well but each only has a single conference victory to date. There’s a lot to sort out in this league.
The Wolverines are currently in great standing owing to their victory over USC and yet it’s apparent they need a quarterback to actually doing anything of real note in the postseason. Indiana has already played five games and is close to bowl eligibility owing to their 48.8 ppg but it’s about to get real for the Hoosiers as they have only faced UCLA and Maryland within Big 10 play thus far. We’ll have to check in on them later. Ohio State looks different this year and Bret Bielema’s Illinois has become a really fun team.
Here’s what has stood out to me thus far…
