How much will change about building championship teams up front in the trenches in the NIL pay-for-play era?
NIL appears to be changing the game somewhat in recruiting. Schools with big fanbases and media markets such as Texas, Texas A&M, and USC are easily able to pool big funds for NIL purposes to the point where it’s drawn the attention and ire of Nick Saban.

However, there’s a lot more to building a Championship team than just throwing NIL money around and pooling talent. After all, none of Texas, USC, nor Texas A&M particularly really lacked for highly regarded recruiting talent in the previous decade yet none of them parlayed that talent into nationally competitive results.
So is the NIL era really going to turn the tables? Or will Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State continue to rule the roost?
