Can Lane Kiffin buy a shot at the title in 2024?
The always portal-heavy Ole Miss Rebels are all in for 2024.
Ole Miss’ recently revealed SEC scheduled has presented an interesting opportunity for the Rebels:
Kentucky
at South Carolina
at LSU
Oklahoma
at Arkansas
Georgia
at Florida
Mississippi State
It’s not the easiest schedule ever drawn up, but it’s a good deal easier than what Ole Miss typically gets and doesn’t include dreaded Alabama or rising Auburn. Lane Kiffin is aware, as Bud Elliott initially pointed out and was further illustrated by Tim Verghese with this amusing Twitter take:
Ole Miss has added seven defenders through the transfer portal for 2024 already, is poised to add former 5-star defensive tackle Walter Nolen from Texas A&M, and also has an O-lineman and top-rated portal wideout (Antwane “Juice” Wells from South Carolina) queued up as well.
So…will that work?
