Apologies to my readers for the unmentioned hiatus from late last week to early this week.
I flew down from headquarters in Michigan with my wife and youngest child to shop for houses in the North Austin area where we will be relocating this summer. This seems to have been a success and I’ll actually end up in between the two schools mentioned in my examples from the other week.
I’ll be in the Liberty Hill school district, north of Leander Rouse high school (that ended up being a close call) but within the realm of the new Liberty Hill high school. I gather that the new high school will not also be built on the secrets of the Slot T offense and probably be more of a typical “suburban-ball” style football program. It’ll be interesting to watch that develop up close in the coming falls.
As you can imagine, touring North Austin and choosing a house within a 5-day window was an immersive process, hence the lack of posting here. But it was a success and now I’m back!
After bragging about my bracket method, I ended up losing the family bracket pool BUT, I made my typical late surge for the finish line. For the 3rd year in a row I successfully picked the National Champion, but unfortunately my wife and son also picked the National Champion and picked a bunch of other games right that I didn’t. Such as Purdue winning a bunch of games. I really underestimated the quality of the guards feeding Zach Edey this season, they were just good enough to allow him to do some real work.
But I couldn’t pull down another victory.
Let’s talk about some of the stuff that’s happened.
