Once again, in early January, I’ll be in a hospital with a family member for a (hopefully) short spell and won’t be posting for a couple of days.
Last time my father was sick and in an ICU, he’s made a terrific recovery btw. This time the circumstances are much better. My wife will be giving birth to our fourth child!
God bless anyone who takes a real paternity leave, the nature of my work (thinking and writing from home) is such that I usually get back to writing fairly quickly. There are few times more relaxing, contemplative, or better for calmly watching and analyzing sports than when you have a sleeping newborn nearby.
On the other hand, there are the other three older savages to track and mommy will be occupied so we’ll see. Anyways, hope to be back soon giving further thoughts on Kalen DeBoer’s task replacing the GOAT and maybe whatever I observe sitting around watching transfer portal moves and NFL playoffs in the hospital or at home.
