2019 LSU, pinnacle or future of college offense?

Will we ever see a college football offense like the 2019 LSU Tigers again?

The 2019 LSU Tigers were different.

It’s extra obvious now they were special. They ripped through college football like a tsunami, beating Texas on the road in Week 2 and then building confidence and momentum as they beat every SEC team on the schedule, won the SEC Championship, demolished Oklahoma in the semi-final, and then smacked Clemson for the title.

Also relevant, Joe Burrow was reunited with J’Marr Chase in Cincinnati and together they went to the Super Bowl last year. Obviously these are good players with a powerful connection.

It could all go to demonstrate a potential flaw in my reasoning at the time, which was that they were unlocking a new way to play offense for other teams. Was it really a path other teams could follow? Or simply unique circumstances because they held elite talent?
